First Free has endured and thrived for years because of an active prayer ministry. Our people are active in prayer through quarterly concerts of prayer, and individuals praying through our prayer newsletter. Our mid-week prayer ministry prays through the needs of those present as well needs of the church, the community and the world.
We are enthralled with the presence of God in our times of prayer. If you need encouragement, our prayer meeting is for you. If you are seeking to reach your neighbors or family with the good news, our prayer meeting is for you. If you just want to experience the joy of the presence of Jesus, our prayer meeting is for you. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matt. 18:20)
Prayer is the often neglected practice of the church. But not at First Free. If you would like to learn how to pray, we are safe group to begin learning to pray out loud with. If you prefer silent prayer, you are welcome to listen in and agree in heart and spirit.
Prayer is how the spiritual battle is fought (Eph. 6). Whatever battle you are facing, we are eager to lift you before our Lord and expectantly wait for His answer. The Lord hears our prayers and answers. People are sometimes healed. Sin is forgiven. Hearts are mended.
Pray without ceasing. (1 These. 5:17)
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working (James 5:16).
